Monica Rast is an attorney with Herr Pedersen & Berglund LLP. Monica joined the firm in 2013. In 2015, Monica moved into a role as managing paralegal and during law school she became a Certified Law Student and Law Clerk. In January of 2021, Monica was sworn in and received her license to practice law. Monica has experience in civil litigation, public entity defense, personal injury, business litigation, employment matters and estate planning.

Monica is admitted to the State Bar of California, to the United States District Court, Eastern District of California and to the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Monica received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2005. In 2011, Monica continued her education attending College of the Sequoias; she received her paralegal certificate in December of 2012. In May of 2020, Monica graduated with her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law. She graduated with Distinction and was fourth in her class. During her time at San Joaquin College of Law, Monica received eight Witkin Awards for Academic Achievement in Civil Procedure I and II, Legal Methods II, Criminal Procedure, Evidence I and II, and Wills and Trusts I and II.
Professional Associations and Memberships:
Monica is a member of the Tulare County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Sequoia Paralegal Association and served on the Board of Directors from 2018 through 2020.
